Our work in English this term will be based around the novel  “ Holes “. By Louis Sachar.  As we read the story, we will look at the themes, characters and language in the book. We shall also use the story as a stimulus to write a variety of fictional and non-fiction pieces, including : a diary extract, a newspaper report. a recount and a non-chonological report. We are also planning a trip to Malvern Theatres to watch a performance based on the book.

Grammar will be taught independently throughout the term.

In Maths we will continue to work on our formal multiplication and division skills including working with decimals; solving  problems involving percentages; revising  units of length, mass, time and volume, as well as interpreting and constructing pie charts and line graphs.
