Friday

It was a quiet night last night as everybody slept really well after their adventures at the beach yesterday. We are really looking forward to our final activities at the centre before returning home.smiley

Thursday-

This morning we all woke up to beautiful sunshine, ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️it was an absolute definite that all groups would be heading to the coast. When all the wetsuits, helmets, buoyancy aids and lunches had finally been sorted we all piled into our minibuses and headed across the Menai Straits bridge to Anglesey. All three groups had different destinations along the coast but coast steering and jumping into the sea was on the cards for all of them.
When we arrived back at the centre it was agreed by nearly all the children that they had really enjoyed the activity especially jumping from high rocks into the sea. There were lots of smiles and chatter about what they had achieved.

The evening activity was the obstacle course made even more challenging by having to work in pairs with one person blindfolded and other giving directions! Some partnerships faired better than others! All the children spent their money in the tuck shop on good quality items(!), played some games, had a bedtime story and finally to bed. The dorms are a lot quieter a lot earlier tonight. 😴😴

A beautiful day in Llanrug

Evening Report

After a busy first day, the children really enjoyed their fish and chips for tea. We had a lovely walk in the sunshine this evening and enjoyed fantastic scenery. We then returned to the centre for delicious hot chocolate, cake and bedtime stories. We are are all ready for bed and should have a great night’s sleep after an exciting and enjoyable day.

Residential Visit - Arete Centre, Llanrug

Everyone arrived on time this morning and, although some children were feeling a little bit anxious, they were all very excited. The coach set off promptly at 08:30, with enthusiastic and cheerful waving to Mrs Wilkinson. After a relatively easy and uneventful journey, they arrived at the centre and were organised into their dorms. Having settled into the centre everyone was put into groups and embarked on their very first activity.

Hopefully there will be more news about their adventures soon!

Remembrance Day 2020

This afternoon, the pupils from year 6 walked round to the war memorial to pay their respects to those brave men, women, children and animals that lost their lives in the wars. Also, Class 4 designed some wonderful posters to demonstrate their thoughts and feelings.
