We have had a brilliant day, packed with activities to enrich the children’s love of reading. The morning started with a carefully orchestrated parade in the hall, where all the children had the opportunity to showcase their magnificent costumes. During the morning, all children attended our pre-loved book sale with many purchasing from the wide variety of kindly donated books. The children were enthusiastic about being able to make their own choices. So far, we have raised £40 to help restock and update our library and we will be running our book shop tonight after school at 3:15pm for parents to visit with their children.

To encourage further reading for pleasure, the adults in school read a favourite childhood story to a mixed group of children and explained how a love of reading had impacted on their lives. Enjoy the photos below and many thanks for all your support.
