Wear it Red Day for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity 2023
KS2 trip to The Hive. We learnt all about the library, how to find the books we like reading and - most importantly - got excited about reading!
Rockstar peer reading
Times Table Rockstar/Number Day! We all read the book, 'How Many Legs?' and then did activities based on it. Throughout the day, we also had TTR tournaments and at the end of the day the fastest rockstars from each year took on Miss Brooks. We also did lots of rockstar dancing and air guitar competitions!

New peer reading scheme Y6 and Y2 pupils
Peer reading at Callow End
Following feedback from the latest children’s voice reading questionnaire, we are starting a Y2 and Y6 peer reading scheme where older children encourage younger children to read for pleasure using expression and intonation. This gives all children confidence, a sense of self-worth and instils a love of reading.
