Mrs M's 5km a day challenge!
Thank you Mrs Wilkinson, Franki, Harriet and Sonny. You are running super stars!
As Mrs Mitchell is away on the school residential, Mrs Wilkinson and 3 willing volunteers from Year 6 got together to complete her 5km for Friday 28th May. We successfully completed it by doing 10 x 500m laps of the Callow End playing field track.
Mrs M's 5K a day letter
Running in May this year certainly wasn’t as nice as it was last year! I have been training for the Edinburgh half marathon throughout this month, at times it was difficult to get motivated to do all the different training sessions. I have come to the conclusion that sometimes things need to change in order for the enjoyment to continue, the point of my running is to help me with my mental health however, if the enjoyment starts to go so does the positivity. Therefore, I have decided to change what I want to achieve with my running. I am going to start run/walking longer distances (ultras which are runs longer than a marathon) with a view to enjoying the run and finishing! I have entered a 50km race in October so let the run/walk training begin!
A massive thank you to my two running buddies, Claire and Kareen for running my 5km while I was away in Wales.
