Bye for now,
Hello and a very warm welcome to new and existing parents and carers who have children starting in our Reception class in September. For those of you who don't already know me, my name is Mrs Wilford and I will be your child's teacher in Class 1 in September, along with the excellent support of Mrs Peck who is Class 1's teaching assistant. Whether this is all new to you or you have older children and have experienced this before, it can still be a daunting process, especially as we are in such uncertain times at the moment.
Due to Covid 19, we are unfortunately unable to offer the usual home visits, information evening and transition sessions we usually do this side of the summer holidays. The idea of this dedicated web page to new Reception children of 2020, is to give you lots of information, answer any questions you may have any hopefully put your mind at ease.
If you have any queries at all, or would like to arrange a chat over the phone, please telephone the school on 01905 830337 or email me on [email protected]
Each week on a Monday and Tuesday, I will be visiting the children in our preschool during the morning to share a story, play games and talk to the children about starting school in September, answering any questions they may have.
This morning, we shared a lovely story together, 'Bear Snores On...' and played a game of 'sleeping bunnies'. The children joined in well with the story and loved playing the game afterwards. I am looking forward to our next story tomorrow.
