Our visit to Lanrug

Our Trip to Llanrug

Years 5 & 6 have experienced being independent in the north of Wales at the Arete Centre. We arrived after a 4 hour journey on the coach with St. James 5 and 6. As soon as we got there the instructors gave us an activity to do. The first activity everyone did was rafting in inflatable boats on the lake Llyn Padarn. After we came back to shore everyone had the chance to jump into the water. The next day, we did our second activity and were split into groups with teachers from either St. James or Callow End. The activities included gorge walking and rock scrambling, they were great fun! In the evening, everyone had a chance to buy stuff from the tuck shop and a take part walking the nightline. This involved having to climb through tyres and hold onto ropes while blind folded with someone to guide us. On our final day some groups went rock climbing, weaselling or kayaking. At around 1 o’clock we left the centre and the coach dropped us off at Callow End at 6 o’clock. It was the best 3 days!
