Phased reopening of school
Following Government and Worcestershire County Council guidelines, we will begin the phased reopening of school on Monday 1st June. If it is safe to do so, we will continue to provide care for key worker and vulnerable children and will also start to reopen to other pupils.
A comprehensive risk assessment has been completed, checked by the Governing Body and sent to Worcestershire County Council for review. This risk assessment has then informed our planning for a staged return to school.
If all safety measures have been met, Year 6 and Reception (Class 1) pupils will return to school on Monday 1st June. Details have been sent via email to those parents who have said that they would like their child to return to school.
If all is going well and our risk assessment reviews show that it is safe, we will then open to pre-school and Year 1 pupils on Monday 8th June. Parents of these pupils have also been informed about the arrangements for their child's return.
I would like to remind parents that the Department for Education has stated that parents should be encouraged to send their child back to school but that they will not be penalised if they choose not to do so.
The arrangements for the return to school will be continuously reviewed and a temporary halt to the arrangements may be made at any time, if deemed necessary to maintain the safety of our pupils and staff.
Safety measures will be published on the 'Keeping your child safe' section of the Parents' pages of this website, together with any resources that may be useful for you to share with your child.
Thank you all for your continued support and please email if you have any questions or queries.
