Phased reopening of school - latest news
Our detailed risk assessment and back to school plan have been approved by Worcestershire County Council and we will therefore begin our phased return to school from Monday 1st June. From this date we will welcome back pupils from Reception and Year 6, as well as continuing to care for pupils of parents who are key workers. Parents of these pupils have been sent a letter via email outlining the changes to our usual school day and additional school rules. These have been put in place for the safety of our pupils, parents and staff. If all goes well we will welcome back our pre-school and Year 1 pupils from Monday 8th June.
In the 'Keeping Your Child Safe' section of the Parents' pages I have included an outline of these changes, a copy of our Behaviour Policy with a new Covid 19 annex and a returning to school booklet which you might want to share with your child.
We will constantly review our plans and risk assessments during this return to school and a temporary halt may be made to the arrangements at any time if we judge that either our pupils or staff are not safe. Any plans to open to a wider range of pupils will be made in line with guidance from the Department of Education and Worcestershire County Council and will be shared with parents as soon as possible.
Thank you all for your continued support during these challenging times. It has been lovely to receive supportive messages from parents, they have helped to maintain the morale of our staff who have continued to work hard to support our pupils.
