Key Stage 2 SATs
Well done to all our Year 6 pupils who sat their Standard Assessment Tests (SATs)in May. They have all worked really hard throughout their time at Callow End School and have made excellent progress. Their test results were published on Tuesday and I am delighted to say that they have done really well in all subjects. Their combined score for reading, writing and maths was 75% compared to a national average of 65%.
We are extremely proud of them all for their achievements during their time at Callow End School not only have they worked hard and done well academically but they have also enjoyed everything that the Callow End curriculum has to offer including the creative arts, music, sports, adventure training, computer coding and lots of exciting trips and visits – well done Year 6!
Thanks must also go to Mrs Sharp and Mrs Fry who ensured that Year 6 were fully prepared for their SATs while also making sure that they still had a balanced curriculum during the year. The high quality teaching that the pupils have experienced over their time at the school has ensured that they are happy, confident learners and I know that they will go on to achieve great things at their new schools.
Goodbye and good luck Year 6, you have been fantastic members of our school and we are going to miss you!
