Welcome to Oak Class – Year 3 and 4

Our Class Teachers are Mrs Widdrington (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday pm) and Mrs Scanlon (Wednesday am, Thursday and Friday). Our Teaching Assistants are Mrs Robinson, Mrs Jackson and Mrs Gregory.

Our PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday. Children wear their PE kit to school for these days.

Please ensure your children come to school with a labelled water bottle and appropriate outdoor clothing for the weather.

Homework will be set on Monday and will be due back the following Monday.

Please see our Class Dojo page for updates too.

Our learning this year:

Plant experiments

Stone Age Art

Science Investigations into digestion and teeth

History Man visit

The History Man came into school to give us some hands-on experience of life in the Stone Age.

Librarian visit.

David, a librarian from the Hive, visited today and gave Oak class, a flavour of what life in a library is like. This fuelled our narrative writing about 'Little Red Reading Hood'!

November: RSPB volunteers visit.

The children enjoyed finding out lots about owls and how they digest food. They dissected owl pellets and found lots of bones which they worked hard to identify.

September maths fun, exploring numbers up to 10,000
